Hannah's Home & Interiors Gift Guide 2025

15 items from £10 to £395 for the cosy home lovers out there

ree

I feel stronger than ever that we should buy less but buy well. Our money is hard-earned and so if we’re going to spend it, it would be good to know that it is going to people who really care and make items with love. That often means that cheaper may be available elsewhere but I would urge you to think about the consequences of that, where possible.

In this gift guide I've listed 15 items that I love, as an interiors obsessive. They range from £10 to £395, with the aim of suiting most budgets:

  1. Legra Bar Soap by Freight HHG £10

I much prefer bar soap to gel these days and am always on the lookout for beautifully scented bars that are free from nasty ingredients. I currently have the lavender and geranium but plan to try the clary sage version soon!

  2. Hygge (Orange + Spices) candle by Octo and Co from £14

I do like to get a Christmas candle every year and this beauty by Octo and Co smells divinely of Christmas. I’m waiting until December arrives before I start lighting it but I know it will start to get me in the festive mood!

  3. Humdakin Knitted Kitchen Towel - Tabacco £20

A tea towel might seem like a boring present but this isn’t just any tea towel. These knitted beauties wash so well and are super stylish. They come in a range of colours and they also do knitted dishcloths too!

  4. Red Stripe Fabric Door Stop by Katy Webster Homeware £22.50

I discovered Katy’s Etsy shop recently when writing about ways to keep homes warm without turning up the heating. She makes some of the most beautiful draft excluders that I’ve ever seen as well as door stops, door wedges, table runners and more all from beautiful fabrics.

  5. Seagrass Waste Paper Basket by British Colour Standard £27

I keep meaning to buy one of these for my little studio office because I love the colours and that it’s made from the natural material seagrass. It comes in a few different colourways.

  6. Marble Home Renovation Planner Notebook £34.99

One of my goals for next year is to design and produce my own renovation planner notebook. I love stationery and I love interiors and so this is an obvious next step for me. Until then, this is a good option!

  7. Black and White Striped Mug by Sarah Daly Ceramics - £38 each.

My husband commissioned Sarah to make two large ceramic planters for my 40th birthday and they are beautiful. Sarah makes lots of tableware and is also a musician which influences her ceramics in a really interesting way.

  8. Hot Water Bottle Grey Coral Yellow Stripe by WeeWoollies £38

I got one of these for Christmas a few years ago and I love it so much. When it’s really cold and I’m working from home, I often sit with it in my lap. The colour choices are beautiful, the wool is extra warm and they are lovingly handmade by the talented Emily in Nottingham.

  9. Nicola Harding: Homing Instinct* RRP £47.50 (currently £30 on amazon)

Nicola Harding is an interior designer whose work I love. She is the queen of layering colour and texture and creating homes that ooze cosiness. I was lucky enough to hear her speak at an event earlier this year and took lots of inspiration from her words. She has released a new book, perfect for curling up on the sofa and browsing on a Sunday afternoon.

  10. Hannah Ashe Interior Design gift card - from £50

Yes, this is a shameless plug for my own product, but these days I take every opportunity I can get! Buy a gift card to cover the cost of an online interior design consultation or money towards and in-person consultation.

  11. Planora Room Planner 1:50 £89

This is quite a nerdy gift for the interiors enthusiast. It’s a set for planning and furnishing homes and interiors. It contains scale furniture items and an adjustable grid for the room size and is made from sustainable wood.

  12. Hand made cushions by Susi Bellamy from £90 including the insert.

Susi Bellamy is a talented designer based in the North East. Her fabrics are luxurious and vibrant. I think a single cushion would make a fab present

  13. Leaf Green Lacquer Rechargeable Bobbin LED Lamp by Addison Ross - £125

Rechargeable lamps are everywhere now, but are they any good? That was a question I wondered and so I decided to test that theory. I have one of these lamps in ‘watermelon’ (they come in loads of vibrant colours) and it gives a lovely ambient light in the corner of my office. Charging is really easy and it’s super stylish. Perfect for a shelf with no plug or a side table that you move around.

  14. The Meeting of Wonder painting by Lois Seco £275

Of course I’m always on the lookout for beautiful original artwork and I recently came across Lois Seco’s work. I am always drawn to bright colours and so this was the painting that spoke to me.

  15. Field | British Wool Blanket by Margo Selby £395

So this is not a stocking filler at just shy of four hundred quid, but it is a very special blanket. Talented Whitstable-based textile designer Margo Selby created this special collaboration project to celebrate British Wool’s 75th anniversary, the Field Blanket uses 100% British wool from Shepley Yarns, located in the Pennine Hills of Northern England.
